The Dimond Athletic Club offers a wide variety of services for all your fitness needs.
Personal Training: A great way to achieve your fitness goals. Our trainers will meet with you to discuss your individual fitness goals, and create a workout program that is built around reaching those goals.
Personal training is available on a one-on-one basis, with a partner, or with a small group of up to 3 participants. You can meet with a trainer once to set up the ideal workout, or on a continual basis to your liking.
Please contact Dana Aasland at 344-7788 ext. 6 to make an appointment with a trainer or to receive more information on this program.
Fitness Assessment: As our welcome gift to you, we offer a complimentary Body Composition Analysis
In addition to the Body Comp Analysis, you will receive a brief introduction to the strength training and cardiovascular equipment. The introduction will include information on proper form and technique, equipment settings and general fitness guidelines.
Stroke Fitness: Stroke Fitness is a low intensity aquatic class designed for individuals recovering from a stroke or other injury. This is an excellent option for anyone who has difficulty working out on land due to balance problems or weaknesses. CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. CrossFit is internationally recognized and respected.
This program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. The CrossFit specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
CrossFit is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen. Thousands of athletes worldwide have followed our workouts and distinguished themselves in combat, the streets, the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes. CrossFit training is the ultimate in sports conditioning for athletes of all ages.
This training is based on increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains through constantly varied, high-intensity and fully-functional exercises. There is simply no better way to get in shape. The group atmosphere is motivating, fun, challenging and will take your fitness to the next level!
The Dimond Athletic Club is currently offering 30 min and 1hr sessions based on the CrossFit program under the name “Force Training” and the CrossFusion “Boot Camp” until our affiliation process is complete in January 2010. You do NOT have to wait until then to get started. There currently more than 30 people already participating in the CrossFit program at the DAC ranging from ages 9 to over 55.
